Cougar Pride Student-Athlete Alliance

The Cougar Pride Student-Athlete Alliance aims to educate, advocate, and connect members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Genderqueer, Queer, Intersexed, Agender, Asexual, and Ally community and their accomplices at Washington State. Our goal is to break down the stigmas of the LGBTQIA+ community through education and advocacy, as well as facilitate communities of acceptance, both within and beyond WSU Athletics.

ASWSU Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA)

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance's purpose is to, in order to provide a safe forum for gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, intersex, questioning, queer, and transgender persons and their allies; to provide an avenue for the free exchange of information and resource materials concerning cultural and sexual orientation issues; to foster a better understanding in the campus community concerning issues pertaining to historic and cultural events related to sexual orientation and gender identity; to build a sense of community for gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, intersex, questioning, queer, and transgender persons and their allies; to sponsor and develop programs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, intersex, questioning, queer, and transgender persons and their allies issues; to raise cultural awareness and serving the interest of the student body and the surrounding community.

Graduate Pride Alliance of WSU (GPAWS)

If you are a graduate or professional student who identifies as LGBTQ+, or an ally, you may be interested in joining GPAWS (Graduate Pride Alliance of WSU). GPAWS host regular social events for everyone to take a break from studying to chat, network, and unwind. These have included holiday potlucks, ice cream socials, music exchanges, and more. Being a part of GPAWS will connect you with other graduate & professional students from all departments, allowing you to meet people that you may not have met otherwise! Queer identities in Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics (QSTEM)

QSTEM is dedicated to providing a space for LGBTQ+ students to network, study, and engage in productive conversation surrounding issues present in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields for LGBTQ+ people. All WSU students are welcome to join, including non-STEM majors, and LGBTQ+ allies, provided they help to maintain a safe and productive environment. Activities may include but are not limited to regular meetings, STEM-focused educational field trips, and community outreach events.

Queer Intersections Association

Washington State University’s Queer Intersections Association is an inclusive space to meet, connect, and create strong networks of support. QIA is committed to educating ourselves continually and our communities about the trials and victories of Queer People of Color at WSU and around the world. We advocate for the respect and celebration of the multiple, fluid, diverse, and interconnected identities of Queer People of Color through storytelling, art, and media campaigns.
